Advancing Together (AT), in coordination with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, continues with the psycho-social activities for children and parents belonging to Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities. On 28th and 29th of August 2018 this exercise took place in Ali Ibra/Kolonia settlement, Gjakovë/Ðakovica and neighborhood 028, Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje.
A short documentary prepared by Advancing Together (AT) has been shown, conveying messages on importance and power that education has in changing their life. Prevention from school dropouts, early marriages and exploiting in different types of labour that children of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities are facing have been the main issues addressed in these sessions.
Psychologist engaged and present in both activities provided advises and suggestions to the children in different subject areas.
