As part of the initiative DIKH HE NA BISTER – Roma Genocide Remembrance Initiative 2019, Advancing Together was part of the preparatory meeting in Berlin, Germany from 27th of February until 3rd of March, where more than 20 national group leaders discussed about roles and responsibilities for the upcoming visit about Roma Holocaust Memorial Day on 2 August 2019 in Krakow/Auschwitz (Poland).
Coordination and follow up activities with the aim of achieving the main objective to build a European culture based on respect, dialogue, human rights and equal opportunities, as well as about the mechanisms of antigypsyism in a challenging context of rising racism, hate speech and extremism in Europe were discussed among the leaders.
Funding, Code of Conduct, Conflict Resolution, local actions and advocacy for recognition around Europe were discussed with best practices and lessons learnt methods.
